" Clouds and skies have always featured highly in my work as I have always been fascinated by their effects on the landscape below. I often find myself analysing the sky, and making mental notes of how I would represent the cloud formations in my works.

I love the ever changing patterns of sunlight and cloud and their complex interaction with seasonal changes in vegetation and the long term evolution of the land.

In Cloudscape, I’ve tried to capture my observations and the feelings they contain, and to share the delight and wonder that the natural world gives me."          Gillie
