1. Prices, description and availability of goods
Prices are subject to change without notice and
all goods are sold subject to availability. Where goods are out of
stock, I will contact you so that you may choose between a refund
on the item, or selecting an alternative. I will, however endeavour
to keep availability up to date. Although I do my best to give a true
representation, colours may vary slightly from those shown on the
web site due to the limitations of Internet technology, and can even
vary from screen to screen. Orders are accepted at my discretion and
I maintain the right to decline orders without giving an explanation.
2. Commissioning a painting
Commissions are negotiated individually, with respect
to subject, price, timescale and framing. A deposit of 20% of the
agreed fee is required, for the order to be accepted. Rough compositional
sketches will be supplied prior to work starting on the painting.
The balance is due on delivery of the finished work.

Copyright for all paintings on this web site
belongs to Gillie Cawthorne. This web site
is also protected by Copyright and the Intellectual Property rights
for the content of the web-site are the property of Gillie Cawthorne.

4. Cooling off period and returns
I want every purchase to be a source of pleasure
for years to come. If for any reason you are unhappy with the goods
purchased you may cancel your order and return the goods within 30
days from receipt of the goods, and will receive a refund within 30
days of cancellation. However it is your responsibility to take good
care of the painting or print, before returning it and it must be
returned in a pristine condition, so it can be resold.
If you wish to return goods,
you should contact me for a returns number and I will not accept liability
unless this procedure has been followed. Unless the goods are defective,
damaged or not as specified on your order, you are responsible for
the cost of returning goods. I recommend that you re-use the packaging
and send by Recorded Delivery for unframed items, as proof of shipping
is not proof of receipt. Framed originals should be returned by courier,
re-using the secure packaging as far as possible. Return
address and instructions are included with your e-mail confirmation
of order and despatch.
5. Information Collection and Privacy Policy
I am committed to protecting your privacy. I use
the information I collect about you to process orders and to provide
a more personalised shopping experience. I will only use the information
that I collect about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection
Act 1998. I will not sell, share, or rent this information to others,
other than as disclosed in this statement. During the registration
or ordering process I collect some or all of the following information:
- Your name and address
- Your contact telephone numbers
(to contact you in the event of a query)
- Your e-mail address (to acknowledge
your order and confirm despatch)
- For credit / debit card purchases
your card details
I will confirm your personal
details in my acknowledgement of your order. By registering on the
mailing list, you consent to the collection and processing of your
personal details by myself. Mailings are infrequent, but should you
wish to stop them, please e-mail me to have you name removed from
the list.

use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the web-site, track
user's movement, and gather broad demographic information. IP addresses
are not linked to personally identifiable information.
