Hope – Scottish Wildcat kitten pastel sketch

This gorgeous little bundle of mischief is one of a litter of five kittens born at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s Highland Wildlife Park near Aviemore. The Park is a great place to visit and but also is home to captive breeding programs such as Saving Wildcats. A number of wildcats have been released recently in the Cairngorms. Good luck to them all!

I’ll be painting more wildcats, but also some rather larger cats in the coming months – look out for Amur Tigers and Snow Leopards!

A4 (29.7 x 21cm) pastel sketch on black Canson Mi-Teintes paper.
